Boston Mayor, Marty Walsh, along with Police Superintendent, William Evans, took some time out of their busy schedules on May 6th to tour our beautiful community. Mayor Walsh, a native of Boston and an accomplished advocate for the city’s working people, was warmly greeted by residents as he shared his vision for the city’s future and listened to their stories and suggestions on making Boston an even better place to live.

From late winter to present, residents have enjoyed a magic show, live music for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and from Berklee Global Jazz Institute, flower arranging, group exercise with BC High, and Earth Day.

Happy 100th, Marie Willie!
Family, friends and her many Susan Bailis neighbors helped resident Marie Willie celebrate her 100th Birthday on January 9th. The afternoon was filled with laughter, wonderful memories and yummy treats from the Susan Bailis kitchen.

Berklee Students Entertain Residents
Students from the famed Berklee College of Music make regular on-site appearances at Susan Bailis. Here, their rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In” get residents’ toes tappin’ and hands clappin’.

A Tropical Isle on Mass Ave
It may have been Autumn but it was Summertime on the Susan Bailis patio as residents swayed to the calypso beat of steel drums while enjoying island cuisine and tropical drinks at their Caribbean Festival.

Pie Makes Everything Better…
…and no one makes a better pie than the staff at Susan Bailis. That’s the conclusion of Boston Mayor, Marty Walsh, and other city dignitaries who recently took time to visit with us and judge the wide variety of delicious homemade pies offered to our residents.

“The Movement at Berklee”
This student-led program at Berklee uses music as a catalyst for community building and social change. Residents and guests enjoyed the beautiful voice of Leila Goodrum on their most recent visit. You won’t want to miss our next event.
